Description

Olympia Arab Festival: Arab artists, educational tables, children's activities, food, music, dance, films, and more! Celebrate and experience the culture, traditions, lifestyles and peoples of the Arab world in a joyous and authentic manner.

Friday 5-10pm (free) is the Mural Hookah Lounge by mural at Capital & State Mural Hookah Lounge. Come for an Arabian night with coffee, hookah, live music, refreshments and more!

Sat. noon-5pm
is the FREE Arab Festival at the Olympia Center. Performances includes the Batiste Dabke Dance Team from Seattle and the critically acclaimed House of Tarab Arabic Music Ensemble.

Sat. at 7pm
, also at the Olympia Center, there's a show with Khaled the Comic, who has toured throughout the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East; Yusra Khogali, a Sudanese-Canadian spoken word artist; and NF, Saudi Arabian hip hop artist from D.C. The event will be a lively show of Arab comedy, hip hop, and spoken word performances! $10 for students/low-income, $15 for GA.

Sun. at 2:30pm, 5pm, & 7:30pm
there's an Arab Film Festival at the Capitol Theater featuring The Time That Remains, Je Veux Voir (I Want to See), & Bab Aziz. These three diverse films portray the Arab people’s voice, strength, love, and passion.
