OLYMPIA DOWNTOWN AMBASSADOR PROGRAM!

The goal of the Downtown Ambassador Program is to create a safe and welcoming environment for all downtown users.  The program is part of the City’s Downtown Project that aims to revitalize downtown Olympia.

Downtown Ambassadors provide customer service to all visitors of downtown by giving directions, assisting shoppers with bags and parking meters, referring people to social services, and answering any questions related to downtown.

Downtown Ambassador Duties (T/W/Th, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM; F/Sat, 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM)

• ·         Create a safe and welcoming environment in Downtown Olympia
• ·         Assist downtown users with directions
• ·         Assist downtown users with parking meters
• ·         Act as an information source for events and programs in the downtown area
• ·         Provide referrals to social services
• ·         All-around customer service

Clean Team Duties (Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

• ·         Sweep sidewalks in the downtown core
• ·         Minor graffiti abatement
• ·         Clean overflowing trash cans
• ·         Customer service for users of downtown
