First Night Tacoma-Pierce County: First Night Tacoma-Pierce County is a family friendly, arts centered, alcohol-free New Year's Eve celebration  that takes place throughout the downtown Tacoma theater district! First Night buttons are $10; kids under 10 are free. The main event kicks off with the Last Mile fun run and is followed by a participatory parade. As the parade ends, music, dance, laughter, fire and magic light up 20 different stages and spaces until midnight. Monday, December 31st, 6:30pm-midnight. Downtown Tacoma Theatre District, Tacoma.
