American Cancer Society Relay For Life 2008
The Relay For Life is a community-driven event and is
a great way area residents from young students to senior citizens
work together in the fight against cancer. Teams usually have 8
to 15 members who take turns walking around the track at the Relay event.
The team members include cancer survivors, family members, friends, co-workers,
and members of social and civic organizations. Relay festivities include
entertainment, food, tent decorating, games, raffles, and prizes throughout
the all-night event. As cancer never sleeps, participants are up and walking
around the track for the full time fighting for the cure.
